Can you relate to Kelsey Diaz, that everything you learned in high school was a lie? We do think that high school was a joke because how Kelsey said “All I am saying that the writing you did in high school and the writing you will do in college are two totally different things”. It is true college does not compare to what our high school teacher taught us. What is writing objectively vs. subjective? Objectively writing means, being objective suggests that you are concerned about facts and are not influenced as much by personal feelings or biases. Part of being objective is being fair in your work. However writing subjectively means, might express feelings, opinions, and judgments. What’s the difference between both articles? For “Shitty First Draft” it talk about how your first draft in writing is always your worst. He had to revise it up to 3 times to be able to get that final essay. In the other hand in “Seven Ways High School Prepares You For Failure” it just talks about how high school writing is way different from college writing. Also about the steps used in high school writing are way different from college due to the professor way.
1. He thinks much about it, what he's going to write and puts to much thought into it trying to write it perfectly 2. In Lamott article he says that you write draft after draft to have a perfect essay ,he thinks more postively.
